About Us
Aegean Auctions are located in Thessaloniki, Macedonia, Greece, a city
built more than 2,300 years ago by Kassandros, King of Macedonia, and
named after his wife, Thessaloniki, sister of Alexander the Great. The
city faces a bay, and the waters of Gulf Thermaikos are fed by the Aegean
Sea. We have been dealing with stamps, postal history, postcards and other collectibles for more than 20 years. We are members of A.P.S. ( American Philatelic Society ) since 1986 ( # 142093 ), O.P.A.L. ( Oriental Philatelic Association of London ), H.P.S.A. ( Hellenic Philatelic Society of America ), H.P.S. ( Hellenic Philotelic Society ), and other Societies of Greece and Europe. We launched our internet auctions at Ebay in 1999, with the idea of providing to collectors worldwide a large selection of interesting items at affordable prices. We offer a wide range of material including classic and modern stamps, covers, postal stationery and postcards, vintage photographs, documents, old books and prints, coins and banknotes, ephemera, etc.
